A little bit about me…
I love sunshine, chai tea lattes with coconut milk, early 2000’s punk rock, and pretty much all outdoor activities. Aside from playing around on my yoga mat, I spend most of my free time playing fetch with my rescue German Shepherd, cruising around on my longboard, surfing, and cuddling with my cat. I’m also a huge fan of live music and spicy jalapeño margaritas.

I initially came to yoga seeking relief from anxiety, but quickly gained a deep appreciation and awe for this sacred practice. Yoga has truly changed my life. It helped me stop living in my head and connect with my body, which has given me the gift of radical self acceptance and the ability to live authentically in the present moment. Yoga has been and continues to be my favorite life teacher.

Some of my favorite things that yoga has taught me:
-
You can do hard things!! [both on and off the mat]→Whether it’s getting out of bed on a rainy Monday morning or mastering Astavakrasana for the first time
-
The transformative power of breath→Breathing is so underrated!! You can breathe through anything! Whether it’s being uncomfortable in the chair at the dentist’s office or running late to work and you’re stuck in bumper to bumper traffic…you can always return to the breath to tap into the present moment and regulate your nervous system
-
Nothing is permanent! → Whether you’re doing core work in a Fast and Hot class or holding Chair Pose for longer than 5 breaths and so desperately wish it would be over, it won’t last forever. So be present, push through the burn, and enjoy the ride :)

In 2020, I decided to become a yoga teacher in hopes of sharing some of the lessons I learned on the mat, some of the wisdom I have gained off the mat, and the passion that I have for yoga with others. As a teacher, I truly enjoy being able to hold a safe space for my students while leading a fun, but challenging class that leaves my students feeling physically strong, internally calm, and with a sense of accomplishment from their achievements on the mat. I hope to see you and your mat at one of my classes soon! :)
